On ST we’re talking about people visiting Faith in prison and it got me thinking about logistics and the things the writers never thought about, which annoys me. (I am all for suspense of disbelief but this is stretching it too far for me.) It sucks because I love that scene and it is so important! I hate adding it to my list of things the writers screwed the pooch on.

What I’m saying is that with the male characters Joss goes the distance of saying they had sex, whereas with the women he just has them make suggestive comments. I think because to him (and most straight men) female sexual fluidity is more obvious.

Yes I claim Angel/Angelus as a queer character. I think claiming a vampire as a queer character is always complicated, and you know how I feel about Joss, but I claim Angel and Spike as canonical bisexuals. Darla and Dru meanwhile are only implied.
