THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS ABOUT TARA

1. Tara is a goldstar lesbian, meaning that she has never had sex with a man. Willow wasn’t even her first either. She met a sweet girl in high school, they both had a creative writing elective together. Tara would write these horrible poems about her but she would just smile. Instead of going to prom, they had their own private dance in the back of the girl’s car.

2. She always wanted to be a vet when she was growing up. Her mom bought her one of those plastic doctor kits with the bag, scope, blood pressure cuff. But she spent all her time putting them to use on her stuffed dog Mister Sheckels. She tried to put the cuff on the horses once but they didn’t care much for it.

3. The first spell Tara ever did with her mom is a fuzzy memory because she was so young. She remembers a meadow, bathed in a golden glow. Her mother’s voice is muted, almost coming from under water. Her mother took her hand, using it to help her trace a symbol on an old oak stump, knife digging in. The soft frame of her mother, smelling of lilac, guiding her hands to put herbs in a bowl. She wasn’t allowed to light them, she was too young yet. Tara watched the smoke rise from the bowl and as it cleared, there was a deer with her young fawn, looking at the human mother and daughter. Her mother whispered something to her but she was too transfixed. She felt at peace. She felt happy. She felt loved.

1. He is a deviant. There is no trace of any humanity in him. He doesn’t love, he doesn’t care. He is the epitome of all that is evil. He is Liam the hedonist without any restrictions. He is the reptilian brain of every human. He is going to play a game where you are the mouse and he is the lion. He is psychotic obsession personified. It’s not romantic or endearing, it’s more scary than anything else imagineable. He is our mirror, what we would all be if not for conscience, society, and a human soul.

2. He sodomized Spike. Not out of love or commitment or anything more than a pack mentality. He was establishing his order as the Alpha. It happens in the wild, it happens in vampires. He is an animal. Sometimes, he had to establish his dominance. It wasn’t some grand love affair, it was brutal.

3. He is still a little voice in Angel’s head, muttering, whispering, waiting for the day when the lock on his cage is broken and he can burn this world to the ground. He doesn’t want to destroy everything Angel loves for any other reason than he just wants to destroy with the maximum amount of damage in the minimal amount of time. To get back at the soul for keeping him trapped and denying him.

I love all of this, but I do disagree that Angelus isn’t capable of love - why else would he have focused his attention on killing and hurting Buffy so much? I don’t know if it was love, really, but he was capable of feeling a very strong emotion of some kind towards her…I do agree that it’s not romantic at all, and he’s scary as hell. He’s evil.

 For me, this falls under number three. He didn’t go after Buffy because of Buffy. He went after her because at that moment, she was ALL Angel had. She was Angel’s entire existance. And in hurting her, he was hurting Angel, the soul, the thing that had kept him locked up for decades. He didn’t know if he was going to get shoved back in his cage and with the way Angel guilts and broods, it’s like living with your victim, watching them suffer night after night anew.

THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS ABOUT SUPERNATURAL

(I’ve only seen up to 5.11 so these might change)

1. Bela never went to Hell. She’s smart, devious, and cunning enough to have thought of a backup plan, either through finding some super rare artifact that let her switch bodies with someone or some backend deal. She’s laying low for now, just in case.

2. At some point, in the past, Ellen and John took comfort in each other. There was no romance, no love, it was just a desperate coupling. They never told anyone because they didn’t want to taint Mary’s memory.

3. When John asked Sam to kill him with the Colt, it wasn’t so much to stop Azazel as it was an escape for John, so that he could finally be at peace. That is why he so readily traded his life for Dean’s. He was tired of living and commited what equates to suicide by cop.

THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS ABOUT CARA/KAHLAN

1. Even though Cara joined the quest to protect Richard, she stayed so that she could protect Kahlan. (Even though Cara is more than aware that Kahlan can take care of herself)

2. Cara took Kahlan’s virginity. Using her abilities as a Mord’Sith, since she was unbound, she was able to reflect Kahlan’s confessor magic during the big O moment. However Kahlan said no to using the agiel as a sex toy. She doesn’t like pain mixed with pleasure.

3. Cara never tells Kahlan that she loves her. And she never will. It’s not their style. But instead Cara shows Kahlan every day how much she loves her and vice versa. Actions speak louder than words.

THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS FOR CHARLES GUNN

1. Gunn is sentimental at the heart and he has a place where he keeps a lock of Alonna’s hair that he took when she was a kid, a movie ticket stub from the first movie he took Fred to see, a napkin from the party Gwen took him to, along with photos of his old gang, the new gang, and Anne. If anyone found it, he would deny it was his though.

2. He wonders every day what happened to Gwen and if she is doing okay. He has so much he wants to say to her about that night, about most likely being her first, but he never will.

3. Once he got enough money from Wolfram and Hart, he bought Alonna a grave in the nicest public cemetary in Los Angeles. There is nothing there but he likes to have a place to visit, a place to talk to, something to remember her by.

THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS ABOUT LORNE

1. The portal that sucked him to LA opened up in Caritas when it was just an old abandoned building. It was the first time he felt safe so that is why he chose that location.

2. He is a true pansexual.

3. In the IDW comics…so SPOILER: he took over Silverlake because that is where Cordelia lived. He even stayed in her apartment and made sure Dennis was okay.

THREE PERSONAL CANON FACTS ABOUT BUFFY/FAITH

1. They totally did it. Off-screen. In season three. Buffy couldn’t have sex with Angel, she’s a normal teenage girl with needs, and Faith was more than happy to help her out with those needs. Buffy was very much on the recieving end of some talented muff diving by Faith but Buffy was too shy/scared to reciprocate.

2. The only thing that got Faith through the lonely nights in jail was thinking about when she was in Buffy’s body and the way it felt under her fingers. She let her fingers do the walking, if you know what I mean, both in the bathtub and later when she’s alone in jail.

3. They share a profound connection that Buffy has never had with anyone else simply because they were Slayers at the same time. They were the two sides of one coin. The prophetic dreams, the way they worked together, the way Faith is what Buffy would have been without Joyce and the Scoobies. When Buffy is done baking, she’s gonna realize she wants Faith to eat her cookie. ;)
