For those that haven’t seen it on the news, we’ve got fires all around us where I live. The sky was so black earlier this week, you couldn’t see the mountains going into Prescott.

It’s only the beginning of summer. It is going to get so much worse sadly.

Sharing one Netflix acct with four people creates some interesting suggestions

  • Into the Abyss: Conversations with death row inmate Michael Perry and those affected by his crime serve as an examination of why people - and the state - kill.
  • He-Man and She-Ra: Secret of the Sword: Prince Adam and Cringer travel to Etheria in search of the one who is meant for a special destiny…..One who will gain the power to become She-ra, and who will fight to free Etheria from the Horde’s evil grasp.
  • Cosmos by Carl SaganAstronomer Carl Sagan leads us on an engaging guided tour of the various elements and cosmological theories of the Universe.
  • Trailer Park BoysTwo petty felons have a documentary made about their life in a trailer park.
  • The Mark of CainSailing ships, stars, angels and executioners The Mark of Cain chronicles the vanishing practice and language of Russian Criminal Tattoos.
  • OutcastsWith Earth rapidly becoming uninhabitable, pioneers seek to colonize the harsh terrain of the planet Carpathia. 10 years later, the town of Forthaven faces danger as the planet’s dark secrets are revealed.
  • ParenthoodGrown siblings Sarah (Lauren Graham), Adam (Peter Krause), Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Julia Braverman (Erika Christensen) struggle with issues of parenthood, relationships, careers and more as they manage the ups and downs of life in this dramedy series set in Berkeley, Calif. Meanwhile, their parents (Craig T. Nelson and Bonnie Bedelia) face an unraveling marriage and their own never-ending parenting challenges.
  • The FighterA look at the early years of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s.
  • Murder in SuburbiaSet amid the impeccable estates of upper-crust Middleford, this mystery series follows a cheeky detective duo — analytical, academy-trained Kate Ashurst and street-smart Emma Scribbins — as they stick their noses in the citizenry’s sordid laundry.
  • C.R.A.Z.Y.: C.R.A.Z.Y. Extraordinary lives of ordinary people in search of love and happiness - that’s the premise of “C.R.A.Z.Y”, a family drama unlike any other.

That is seriously quite a mix. I know right off which ones are because of husbear and mom and which ones are because of me. Wanna guess which ones I added to my queue and which ones I had already seen?

I’m so sick today

This is a totally whiny post but I feel miserable. I have an allium allergy/intolerance which is basically an onion, leek, ramp, shallot, garlic, etc allergy/intolerance. It is a real thing with real support groups and yes I have a confirmed diagnosis from a medical doctor (my PCP). Basically if I eat anything with onions or has come into contact with onions, I am so sick within an hour and then the next day. We are talking painful gas that feels like someone is stabbing me and my back end explodes (yes, ruining the mystery for you) I have taken the maximum amount of benedryl today.

It just keeps getting worse. I really hope it doesn’t turn into the sort of thing that requires an epi-pen. I check my food pretty vigilantly but something must have slipped through. I just really want someone to snuggle with my gassy ass and rub my tummy. :(

Hey, smart computer programmer types out there!

There has to be an easier way for me to get a list of all the files in my folders and directories than doing list view and then print screening.

I’m trying to eliminate duplicate files and consolidate them. So I want a list I can check off from. That’s all. (For instance, my music is all in one folder but I have subfolders by genre and some things got put in wrong folders and I want to get rid of stuff I am sure I have duplicates of)

I even tried getting to it in MS-DOS but that was just a headache.

We need a “print file names” option.

Get on that please.

(And I spent like 30 minutes googling to see if there was an easier way. I got a lot of “print screen and put it in Word” and “use MS-DOS” and a whole lot of people with the same complaint as me. Is there something we are all missing? Some sneaky way to do it?)

I’m going to be alone this weekend

Because my husbear is working the night shift and my friends are diiiicks.

Usually when this happens I consume mass quantities of alcohol and sushi. I also rent horrible movies that only I want to see. But I am thinking I should do something different.

I think I might go see the Hunger Games but I am having a dilemma. Do I get drunk first and attempt to walk to the theater (can you get a Walking While Intoxicated? Or is it Public Drunkenness?) or should I sneak in my little flask and walk home nicely buzzed?

(And yes, my town is small enough and safe enough that I can walk to and from the theater at night with no issue. One of the only advantages of living in Bumfucknowhere)

Decisions, decisions?
